Apparently India receives a lot of Korean tourists.
For example, in Agra there were some touts shouting Korean greetings and full well-pronounced sentences to simply attract Korean tourists. I was truly impressed. In other places, Korean signage is used to target Koreans, as shown below.


On the other hand, there are a lot of ignorant touts in Varanasi who shout “Konichiwa” to me and Kirsten; to which I respond: “Desole, je ne comprends pas. Parlez-vous Francais?”
Most of them silently walk away.
